Program and Project Management Associate Director for Marketing Operations

Location: Mexico City

The Program and Project Management Associate Director, is responsible for project managing priority Marketing Operations strategic initiatives, programs and projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • E2E Project manage highly complex Marketing Operation´s programs, collaborating across functions and teams
  • Create and manage timelines and roadmaps, manage program budget and resource tracking, risks, provide problem-solution, track actions and success metrics.
  • Manage stakeholders at all levels of the program (Steering Committee, where applicable, as well as working and extended team).
  • Ensure timely delivery of commitments, drive communication within and outside of the program team, as well as develop/implement Communications plan (at all levels) in support of program implementation and change management.
  • Identify inter-dependencies and relationship to other Marketing Operations programs – through the PMO team.
  • Use and share the aligned PMO methodologies, tools and ways of working
  • Lead, support and manage implementation and evolution of the Marketing Operations PMO across MO stakeholders and educate teams on how to successfully meet project goals through the Project Management discipline.
  • Able to thrive in an integrated organization and complexity and be a voice of discipline and structure to enable Marketing Operations priority projects.
  • Proactive in providing solutions when there are risks to timelines/budgets/stakeholders/project etc., that are identified.
  • Connect existing Marketing Operations programs to the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Provide insights to the PMO Head on how to improve the Project Manager role in the organization in support of constant change and evolution of the organization.
  • Support the PMO Lead in empowering and guiding Program Managers to achieve their objectives and adhere to the Marketing Operations PMO methodology. Able to fill in as back up for the PMO Lead when needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience (with a track record) in portfolio, program, and project management with multi-functional experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industries preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead simultaneous programs with complex multidisciplinary teams, applying a pragmatic and agile approach
  • Leadership skills: Manage and motivate a team effectively. Able to influence stakeholders and decision making.
  • Agile mindset to adapt and implement new Ways-of-Working in support of a constantly changing environment. Agility learn fast, deliver fast, adapt and be flexible and able to manage ambiguity
  • Proven stakeholder management (at all levels of the organization) and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and functions. Strong leadership presence with the ability to present and interact with senior management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines. Well organized and excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize data into clear insights for business partners and develop effective strategies and plans grounded in the analysis
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate complex information in simple terms
  • Financial acumen
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams located across multiple locations around the world
  • Proven ability to build strong, effective relationships with internal partners at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive solutioning
  • PM methodologies and tool
